Arnold Michael's Restoration

Excerpt: The founder's central insight: not replacing the Father, but remembering the Mother humanity forgot.

Story: A young seminarian named Peter once challenged a teacher about the Madonna Ministry's emphasis on the Holy Mother. "Doesn't this take away from the Father?" he asked, halfdefensive. The teacher shook her head. "Arnold Michael never sought to diminish the Father. He sought to restore what had quietly receded — society's conscious relationship with the Comforter, the nurturing face of God." She explained Michael's conviction that strength without compassion eventually exhausts itself, and that humanity's spiritual evolution depended on becoming, in his words, "chalices of divinity" — vessels capable of holding both power and mercy. Peter thought of his own upbringing: a father who taught him discipline, and a mother who taught him to forgive himself when discipline failed. Neither alone would have made him whole. He understood, finally, that restoration wasn't a rebellion against the tradition he loved. It was its completion.
